Der Schmatten Kari.... Det er et par på Taiwan til salgs for $7,000....
For Auction: One Pair Vintage Sansui High Efficiency Speaker Cables PS-112C.
Each cable is 12 meters long (40 feet)
These cables were designed to bring out the best sound from high-end Japanese audio gear from the 1970's & 1980's.
I believe these were only sold in Japan; I bought this pair in Akihabara Tokyo in 1979. They cost 12,000 yen (over $100) - which was a lot of money back then! I have NEVER seen another pair of these cables on ebay. (The shorter, 7-meter version, PS-107C, comes up once every 5 ~ 10 years; people have bid as high as $375 for those - and that was back in 2014.)
These made an incredible, glorious difference in the sound quality of my stereo system. My younger friends (and my brother-in-law with golden ears) can still hear that difference with these cables, but I - having worn hearing aids for 10 years now - can no longer hear the difference (too many years in noisy engine rooms aboard Navy ships). Time to let some other Hi-Fi purest / Sansui collector have the pleasure of owning them. Besides, downsizing in retirement I no longer need 40 foot speaker cables!
These wide-range cables are serious equipment, designed and built for the dedicated Japanese audiophile in the early '80s. See detailed specifications below. Please see photos for condition. Note that I have never cleaned the ends or replaced the solder on the tips. With the right cleaning solution they should shine bright again, or you can trim the ends and expose 'new' copper - your choice.

Details from the original box:
Sansui's High-Efficiency Speaker Cable was developed on the basis of our knowledge and know how about the special types of cables, 'primarily those used for telecommunications purposes'. Because of it's excellent transfer characteristics, ultra-low DC resistance and super-wide frequency range, the new Sansui cable is ideal as an interface between advanced "DC" configuration amps and contemporary wide-range speaker systems. It's major features are:
1. Ultra-wide frequency range of DC (Zero Hertz) to 400kHz (+/-0.5dB), and phase response of DC to 300 kHz (less than 10 degrees).
2. Ultra-Low DC resistance (8.7m ohms/m for "+"cable and 11.6m ohms for "-" cable.
3. Sansui exclusive three layer braided conductor construction for best transfer characteristics.
4. Ideal characteristic impedance of 12 ohms for best impedance matching with amp and speaker.
5. Un-plated wire surface for improved tone quality.
6. High-Density braided conductor (90%) coverage for minimum skin effect, proximity effect, crosstalk, and noise pickup.
7. 99.96% or more pure elastic copper wire.
8. Terminal ends molded with elastic PVC.
Actual wire construction from outside casing to inside core:
1. PVC jacket
2. Polyester Tape
3. Braided shield (-)
4. PVC Insulator
5. Braided Conductor (+)
6. Polyester tape
7. Braided Conductor (+)
8. PVC core.
From an old Sansui brochure:
1. PS107C/PS112C Super High Fidelity Speaker Cables
2. Speaker cables for accurate transfer of HighFidelity information.
3. Three braided conductors, each insulated from others and coaxially woven (Sansui exclusive)
4. Super low DC resistance.
5. Low AC resistance for improved frequency response (+/0.5db at DC400kHz)
6. Effective shielding of external noise
7. The PS107C and 112C come in 'pairs of cables' in each box.
