Hello all,
I registered here some time ago and sent an e-mail to your Big Chief asking if I am allowed to post in English on the forum. As I have had no answer back, I thought I'd try here instead.
Since I have already dipped my toe in I may as well introduce myself briefly, although if the answer to the above is "no", then this may be my one and only post...![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
My name is Alasdair and I'm originally from Scotland, but currently I live in the South of England. I'm pushing 60, have retired from the Army and have been dabbling in Hi-Fi for the last 30 years or so.
My reasons for registering on this forum and the reason I can read it at all, is a legacy of a Norwegian ex-wife whom I parted ways with some 10 years or so ago. She managed to teach me to read Norwegian before splitting, but never to write it properly. While I could conceivably give it a try, I rather assume other forum participants would prefer to read proper English instead of very bad Norwgian.
In any case most, if not all, Norwegians understand English, right?
Anyway, I bid you all a good day and shall await your verdict on my participation.
