While keeping the proven dc10audio innovations intact, we have re-created the horn loudspeaker all over again with totally new horn configuration. The Kabuki Ohaku includes upgraded drivers and modified RAAL ribbon tweeter, wire, and crossover components.

Hei!

Veldig kule høyttalere, fin finish og bra WAF! Finnes det noe mer teknisk info om hvordan båndet er implementert i hornet? Eller målinger?
+/- 2 dB 18-80 000 Hz ved 97dB/w/m er sansynligvis for godt til å være sant. Hvis ikke er det litt av en bragd, og burde være mulig å dokumentere, men mulig det ikke er relevant/interessant for kunder i dette segmentet.

Beklager hvis dette virker surmaget, det var i såfall ikke meningen. Jeg er ikke potensiell kunde, men er oppriktig interessert i de tekniske aspektene ved disse høyttalerene. De virker kule og jeg er sånn skrudd samen at jeg har lyst til å vite hvordan ting virker.

Stå på Hagto, bare positivt at vi blir introdusert for nye merker og konsepter!

Hi Torry,

The particular RAAL 140-15D (AM) tweeter is slow to get and they only make a few pairs compared to the newer models it has the widest bandwidth of any of their tweeters.


The tweeter is mounted in a tone-wood bezel with an air-gap within the horn it is totally unique construction the horn loading is for all 3 drivers.


The unique horn + resonator increases efficiency by as much as 5db and lowers bass response by 4db


The Kabuki looks pretty tame.... but that's a monster 12" woofer loaded into the lower section augmented by horn and resonator bass is big and extended.


We've had DIY guys at some shows listening to Berlin R on 18 watt S.E.T LAMM monoblocks claim that the bass was not possible for a monitor and insist that we were using a sub woofer we let them search our room for a sub woofer and they were not able to find one..

FORM, FUNCTION + NATURE
The Kabuki loudspeaker’s form and aesthetic are inspired by Japanese motifs such as the stylized, unrestrained format of Japanese kabuki theater – truly the Japanese avant-garde.
KABUKI TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The Kabuki’s form perfectly fits its function. Nothing is superfluous or wasted.
Kabuki Ohaku (Ohaku is the upgraded version) features an exclusive 12” full-range driver with an extra-large AlNiCo motor capable of reproducing the most difficult frequency spectrum: mid-bass, mid-range, upper mid range, and beyond with the right scale, weight, and detail that is just not possible with smaller drivers. This one single-source driver is able to operate at a very wide bandwidth nearly distortion-free, with perfect coherence and detail. Frequencies above 8,000 Hz to over 80,000 Hz are augmented by a modified RAAL ribbon tweeter, while frequencies below 300 Hz are provided by a massive 12” high-efficiency woofer utilizing our jetted woofer loading system, which sets the woofer slightly back, within an opening smaller than the driver itself. This virtually eliminates off-axis distortion, allowing a minimally interfering crossover, and preserving its speed and efficiency.
With dc10audio’s proprietary horn loading, all drivers utilize the Kabuki’s slotted bass horn, which is extended in height and width by the wooden blades. The rear-mounted dual resonators also benefit from the blades, resulting in increased dynamics, efficiency, and tangibility of sound.
Kabuki-Ohaku is truly a wide-bandwidth high-efficiency loudspeaker with unique innovations -- a perfect synthesis of its parts, playing massive coherent sound with gripping detail and live performance dynamics.
