Black Rhodium Bolero 2-core twisted speaker cable efficiently removes the effects of RFI interference and micro-vibrations within the cable. Conductors are 3 sq. mm in cross section to enable the amplifier peak control of loudspeaker cone movements.
This also has the effect of providing a more powerful bass as required for high power systems and those with augmented low frequency response.
Anti RFI screening
Bolero incorporates tightly braided metal screens to lower the distortion effects of high frequency interference. Inheriting Quickstep and Foxtrot speaker cables, Additionally BOLERO is twisted along its length to further reduce RFI. This protects the signal wires from picking up radio frequency interference (RFI) generated from Radio, Wifi, Mobile Phones and even central heating systems.
Low Transient Phase
Bolero clearly replicates vocals and isolates musical instruments superbly through a drastic reduction of ‘Transient Phase Distortion’ which is reduced by using thicker insulation to increase the distance between conductors as a result of the magnetic field created by the current in the other conductor wire. Distance is reinforced between conductors is achieved through the attractive cable braid and this reduces ‘Proximity Effect’ distortion. By very substantially reducing distortion, the music becomes clearer and more dynamic with more ambience and sentiment.
Mechanical Vibration Damping
Bolero employs the use of two separate and complementary materials that effectively damp Mechanical Vibrations within the cable.
Rhodium Plated Locking Connectors
Black Rhodium locking plugs on the Bolero feature Rhodium plating to ensure a cleaner and less corroded contact between the plug and socket and the consequent audio performance. The plug and terminal connection is attained by turning the screw cover to the plug creating a robust connection that is not easy to remove by force. Bolero is hand built using chosen components and materials with a proven record for audio quality enhancement as shown in Black Rhodium’s high end cables.
