Snart fire år gammel, men virker og ser ut som ny. Kjøpt ny i Norge fra Stilimento Audio på Lillestrøm som en vanlig DAC-2. Oppgradert av meg på fabrikken i California sommeren 2013 til SE-utgaven med DSD, Femto klokke og nytt display.
Denne DAC´en har mange digitale innganger, inklusive analog "Home Theater Passthrough". Fungerer også utmerket som forforsterker.
Om den aller beste inngangen - I2S over HDMI - er interessant, så har jeg også tilgjengelig en PS Audio PerfectWave I2S-12 Silver HDMI kabel på 1.5 m.

Enhancing the already stellar performance of our DAC-2 series, the DAC-2 DSDse includes an array of highly upgraded components: Vishay Z-Foil resistors, ultra-low noise discrete regulators, ultra-fast recovery Scottkey diodes, premium grade inductors, green OLED display and a Rhodium-plated Furutech fuse. The culmination of these enhancements is refined audio performance down to the minutest nuances. We increased the DAC-2?s USB PCM resolution to 32-bit 384kHz and added galvanic isolation to eliminate computer noise from the audio signal completely. Integer mode compatibility allows direct communication between the signal source for bit-perfect playback in Mac systems. Additionally the new DSD interface is driverless for Mac and Linux platforms, ensuring seamless installation. A simple driver install is needed for USB streaming from PC systems. The DAC-2 DSD means you can be confident that the ultimate USB technology is built into your DAC!
The DAC-2 also features an all-new proprietary 24-bit asynchronous USB implementation that handles sample rates up to 192Hz using Wyred 4 Sound drivers for Mac or Windows operating systems to put the DAC2 on a level playing field with devices like the Perfect Wave and Ayre converters.
The DAC2 is also more versatile, offering HT bypass and a defeatable onboard 32-bit digital attenuator, enabling power amplifiers to be driven directly from the converter (via remote control) for maximum transparency: no preamp or extra set of interconnects required.
