THE SWARM IS COMING!
Ukrainian drones with a range in excess of 1200km are entering the battle space. Drones have penetrated Russian air defences as far north as St Petersburg and as far East as the Urals. Ukraine has launched as many as 300 drone missions this year with the main focus directed at oil refineries, terminals and the Russian navy. The effects so far are estimated to have reduced Russian petrochemical income by as much as 14% and to have isolated Crimea. The Kerch bridge is currently open only to allow a Russian retreat.
Russia still hopes to overwhelm Ukraine with artillery and manpower, showing a willingness to sacrifice as many men as it takes to cause Ukraine to run out of ammunition. Conservative estimates, estimate Ukrainian losses at about 1/7 in their favour, but even at these appalling rates Russia is still willing to send more men into the grinder. Russia casualties for the past two years stand at 445,000 killed or wounded.
Unwilling to play this game of numbers, Ukraine has invested heavily in innovative drone technology and production. The Ukrainian government have declared that they intend to produce two million drones in 2024 and this will be supported by a further one million promised by European allies.
Three million drones will increase attacks on Russian facilities behind the lines by a factor of ten. As Russian air defences already struggle to cope with today's attacks Russia will become the nation overwhelmed by numbers. The Swarm is coming!
Russia has proved effective with its electronic warfare counter measures against drone attacks, however, if only 5% of new drones manage to strike vital industry, that combined with sanctions and the continued demands of war could force Russia to seek terms for surrender or at least to withdraw from Ukraine.
It is difficult to see how Russia can defeat this new form of warfare, stuck as they are in their WW2 tactics, bleeding men and materiel. They have lost the cream of their experts who fled at the start of the war, others are conscripted to fill quotas. Cut off from western technology, Russia has little left except perhaps the hope of a Trump election victory.
A three million Drone Swarm is preparing to invade Russia, it will be able to attack every factory, vehicle, bridge and road. Now might be a good time for Russians to go home - while Russia as a nation still exists.
Slava Ukraini!
