ScAr - Scandinavian Audio Research, which is made up of the old Scan Speak engineering staff, led by Lars Goller, former Scan Speak chief engineer, previewed its new product line at the ALMA symposium. The company exhibited the preproduction prototypes of three neo motor woofers, two ferrite motor woofers and a new dual neo magnet ring dome tweeter. The neo motor woofers all have low damping rubber surrounds, symmetrical linear suspensionm low distortion motors, and a long throw low inductance voice coil wound on a non conductive former. ScAR's new tweeter uses a unique dual concentric pair of neo ring magnets to power a center pinned ring dome. Details are still preliminary, but are as follows (www.scan-audio.com):

Siden virker ikke ennå, og de var svært så sparsommelige med data. Utove det ser jo dette rett så interessant ut. Bassene ser ut som de har ganske tradisjonelle magnetsystemer men ser velbygde ut. Diskanten ser ut til å være en vanlig ringradiator, men uten "spydet" forlenget gjennom domen. Magnetsystemet likner et "low reluctance" magnetsystem (kjent fra Step Technologies).
