Thorens Direct Drive..? Noen som kjenner denne motoren?

Har kommet over en motor som er produsert av Thorens. og som ser ut til å være til en platespiller. Kjenner til at Thorens produserte DD på 1920 tallet, men har aldri sett et slikt drivverk. Noen som har informasjon om drivverket og eventuelt hvilken platespiller det satt i?

Ja, det ser ut til at det er den samme motoren. Er dette noe å ta vare på?

Det er sikkert noen som samler på slikt! Ville annonsert den på Finn om du ikke skal bruke den selv

Om det er noe å ta vare på? Det finnes sikkert noen som samler/restaurerer slike. Om den er verdt mange kronene tror jeg ikke.

Har ikke noe bruk for denne, men hvis det er noe å samle på så kan de som eventuelt kan bruke denne ta kontakt. Synd å kaste noe som kan brukes...

Hallo, I am from Germany, i own the original 1936 grammophone by Thorens, but my one (looking from outside like brandnew) has a defective motor drive unit due to zinc-crystalline-corrosion, the engine bearing holding "bridge" on the frontal side of the motor is broken and even some internal zinc die cast alloy have been fallen apart. Would it be possible for me to purchase that motor mentioned above because I cant find any spare parts for that old unit here in Germany or Switzerland any more? That would be great! Interesting... but direct drive... there must at least be a reduction gear somewhere integrated with the motor.....
Somehow I feel that your only chance is on Ebay, or the many enthusiast groups on social media like Facebook and others.

It has the reduction gear inside the motor unit , its the UV60 motor like the one shown above by "Membran" ;-) Is that motor still existing? I would like to buy that one if possible! Thanks

Dear Arild, thats wonderfull! That grammophone is a heirloom of my grand-grandfather who was radio technician back in the 1920s and 30s, so this grammophone has a personal value for me I am very glad that you can sell me the motor! I have sent PM to you

Fantastic that the old motor can be used and bring back life to an old gramophone!
