Sfæriske når IKKE dypere i rillen, det er nettop derfor den har dårlig gjengivelse ved økende frekvens
0,5 og 0,6 er vel smalere enn 0,7?

I have all types of diamond tips. When I demo my system ( I have acoustat 2+2 electrostats), I’ll play stuff with my at AT09cII, Shure 97 with SAS boron, Pickering xsv3000 with oem tip, but I always play a segment of Chicago’s “Beginnings” on my pioneer pl41 with a plc9 cart and oem conical stylus . Not only does the sound impress , the sight of a 50+year old massive wood turntable making the sound , surprises.
I now have seven tt in my system . My latest acquisition is a pristine biotracer psx600 with a mint signet tk5ea cart. But, my two pio tables
with conicals will always be my go-to tables for stuff like Chuck Mangione, Chicago and Steely Dan.
Fwiw, I remember seeing the life of a conical as 300-500 hours. I think I have close to 300 hours for both of mine and they still sound great. I have a large stash of oem styli for them.
It’s worth noting that for old carts like the plc9 and pc35, fine sounding ancient after market needles can be easily found for under $20.
In my book, that’s a bargain .
Also, conicals are not prissy when it comes to set up. Try setting the vta on a ml on tt with no vta adjustment - it’s as fun as an audit.
Everyone should own a tt with a conical tip ( even if you think your high buck ml cart is the bees knees)
1) the needle will give same sound regardless of vinyl thickness
2) it might give quieter sound
3)you might prefer it’s sound( at least on some vinyls)
4) cheaper to listen to "
