Putin's terrorists will attack you where you are weakest.
Ukraine is creating absolute chaos behind the Russian lines especially in Crimea. Attacks on three airfields, on the Sevastopol HQ and early attempts of the Kerch Bridge are leaving Russian Forces with nowhere to hide. Whether the attacks are being mounted by drones, HIMARS. Special Forces or local partisans it is clear that there is an organised and coordinated method to these operations. They are not simply raids. They are targeted at command structures, air defences, aircraft, fuel and ammunition supplies and supply routes.
Back at home the attempted murder of Putin ally, Alexander Dugin by bombing his car will leave Putin searching for someone to blame (even if it was him). Is it Ukrainian or Russian agents who are planting bombs under cars in Moscow?
Minor Russian advances continue in Donbass but at an ever greater cost. While Chechen mercenaries fight for Putin a larger number see the war in Ukraine as an opportunity to gain their own freedom from Russian oppression.
Zelensky's growing confidence became clear when he stated that there would be no peace without the return of Crimea. Russian civilians are retreating back home across the Kerch Bridge partly from fear and partly because school starts again soon in Russia. They carry news about the destruction of Saki Airport with them.
The next two weeks should open the cracks wider in the Russian defences. However, my words of warning are to Ukraine. Be careful when you gather on the streets to celebrate your Independence Day. Putin's terrorists will attack you where you are weakest. Vigilance and high security is essential at home as well as on the battle field.
