Eiere av Abrahamsen-forsterkere gjør vel klokt i å velge kabler med høy induktans (og dertil gjerne lav kapasitans) da...
La oss se på noen kabler.
Abrahamsens FLS:
4X 17 AWG (4 X 1mm2) positive and negative wire.
Capacitance per meter < 100pF
BetterCables Premium III:
Composed of quad 16AWG, helically-wound, stranded copper conductorsLow 33.2 pF/ft capacitance. Dvs.
109pF per meter
Cardas Crosslink 1s:
Is our
least expensive cable. It is the only Cardas cable sold in bulk. 11.5 AWG. Inductance 0.11 uh/ft/loop and
capacitance 55 pf/ft (180 pF pr. meter)
Cardas Clear Beyond:
It is beyond the demands of any loud speaker or amplifier combination imaginable. No impedance dip or current flow demand is a challenge in any way. 5 AWG
Clear Beyond is simply overkill for all but the most extreme systems Inductance 0.01 uh uh/ft/loop and
capacitance 446 pf pf/ft (1463 pF pr. meter)
Kimber 8TC (2.5 meter):
(Cp) parallel capacitance 821.0 pF @ 20 kHz. (Ls) series inductance 0.345 µH @ 20 kHz.
pF pr. meter 328

One of the requirements for a good amplifier is that it must have stable operation for various load impedances. High cable capacitance is not a problem for well-designed amplifiers but could cause a few unstable or borderline amplifiers to go into oscillation. Low power oscillation, even if ultrasonic, could affect the listening performance of a system and even affect the transients in music. It could give a false impression of a brighter sound but is in fact distortion introduced by the amplifiers inability to drive the load. Oscillation at full power could cause amplifier and/or speaker to burn out ...
Although some expensive wires can have low resistance, several have a high capacitance of 100 to 300 picofarads (pf) per foot ...
In comparison, ordinary wire can have low resistance but also very low capacitance. Twelve gauge Romex has a capacity of only 15pf/foot. Fifty feet has a total capacitance of only 750 pf, which is the same as 000750 microfarads (mfd). Twelve gauge line cord has a capacitance of only 18 pf/foot and 50 feet has a total capacitance of only 900 pf, which is the same as .000900 microfarads (mfd).
Konklusjon?
Tja, si det. Så sier man at man at det ikke er hørbare forskjeller på høyttalerkabler. Mulig man skal ha sykt lange lengder før det blir hørbart, men dersom en forsterker begynner å oscillere så bør jo det være hørbart, eller?
