Russian officers who either ordered, participated or simply turned a blind eye.
Time in war has a strange way of expanding. Events that happened yesterday seem to have happened years ago. The mind becomes numb and nothing seems to matter anymore not even survival. One moves from day to day eating, hiding and fighting, but worst of all many forget why they are there undergoing such horrors. It doesn't make any sense!
Ukraine is fighting against a regime that sent professional soldiers into Bucha. Soldiers who had to withdraw in defeat, so they murdered 458 civilians who offered no threat and no resistance at all. This number included 84 women and 9 children, Almost all of them were shot in the head, some with their hands tied. They were shot gathering wood, walking or cycling home, sitting in their apartments, hiding in their cellars or kneeling blindfolded facing a wall. All this took place under the guidance of Russian officers who either ordered, participated or simply turned a blind eye to these war crimes.
Ukraine is fighting against Russian fascism, against a war of conquest, against a tyrant who uses power in the same way as a Mafia boss, a man who considers human beings to be as expendable as a few dollars in a wallet.
If we ask why our taxes are higher, why we have to pay more for gas, why we get cold this winter; remember Bucha; a small town on the outskirts of Kyiv. When you ask Ukraine to negotiate with the man who ordered this invasion, remember that all those people and many more died for being Ukrainian and while you remember them, remember the name of the arch criminal whose orders led to this and many other atrocities. Vladimir Putin!
The photographs are too terrible for Linkedin to allow. Remember that Ukraine is fighting for freedom, for decency and for you.
Slava Ukraini!
Who Dares Shares.
