Hi Totalsindre
The main problem you are going to have is not the size of the speaker but the shape of your room. Your room is not going to play flat. Because it it about 2.5m x 2.5 x 2.5 i would expect you will get around -3db hole around 50hz and a +3db around 35hz and 70hz. This means a swing of 6db (3db = 2x volume) Bass booms at any volume and you lack speed and punch. You will be able to reduce the volume around the 70hz using room treatments so that its closer to the same volume as the 50hz but the 35 hz will be almost impossible to cure. To your advantage your room is so small that it will help reduce the bass problem a little. Your best bet is to choose a speaker that starts to role off below 43hz and let the room compensate for the volume, problem solved. Tannoy are a good choice as you can sit close to them and they still disapear plus they all start to role off early. Even their 15" Canterbury start to role off around 40hz (28hz -6db) The DC series are great speakers but perhapse more disco home cinima than hi end hifi. I would also recommend a speaker with forward or down firing bass ports. My advice would be to look at their prestige range. Autograph mini with a sub or Stirling would be a great match
