Enterprise Tonearm: WINNER 2023
With stiff competition from other highly rated tonearms, the Enterprise came up trumps this year, proving to be an investment worth it's price. Alan Sircom praises the Enterprise as one of the only tonearms truly capable of getting the best from Lyra cartridges: âLyra should use (this combination) to quiet the âit sounds a bit leanâ argument set against their cartridges. The Origin Live combination shows it (Lyra Dorian) isnât lean, just other decks and arms arenât this resolving in the bass to show what Lyra can do.â Alan isnât the only voice arguing for our arms for their cartridge performance either, The late Cartridge Man Len Gregory recommended Origin Live arms as one of only two brands that truly got the best out of his cartridges.
The evidence for this point only gets louder in Sircomâs review of our Voyager Turntable and Renown Tonearm fitted with a Lyra Atlas Lambda. Remarking that the overall package works âexceptionally well in the context of Lyra cartridgesâ, and the combination âlets the cartridge track like a dream, gets out of the way and just makes the records singâ
Regardless of whether you are using a Lyra cart or not, Sircom writes of the Enterprise Mk4 tonearm: "The sound takes on a kind of enveloping energy that makes it impossible to turn off until the very end."
Having won multiple awards over the last 2 decades, this latest award only speaks to the Enterprise tonearms lasting high performance, as well as the quality of updates made to the design over the years.
Have you heard it? A drop in fit for many turntables, with easy-to-fit adapters for all, the Enterprise is not a tonearm you want to miss when considering elite performance.
