På tide med en liten oppdatering. Som vanlig så går det ikke slik som planlagt når en driver på med disse greiene våre.
Under, meldingen jeg mottok fra AE for et par dager siden:
We wanted to provide you an update with the status of your order. At this time we are still waiting on steel parts and frames to arrive to our location. Payment for these parts was made back in December and these parts were originally expected to arrive in late February. We had a very good experience with our vendor with the parts actually being completed a few days earlier than expected. Unfortunately in this case, shipping delays have set things far behind.
You may be aware that there was recently a dock labor dispute on the west coast. This dispute was an ongoing issue that began nearly 7 months earlier, involving over 20,000 dock workers at every port along the east coast. This situation greatly disturbed all aspects of imports and exports to the US. It is expected to take up to 6 months for loading and unloading of cargo to return to normal. As a result of all of this, there were delays in securing space for the cargo and unloading of the cargo when it arrived to the US. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be shipping steel and aluminum components that can handle these delays. Others who ship produce and other foods were far less fortunate and had significant losses they could not recover from.
As of Friday, 3/27/15, we have been informed that our parts have reached Illinois via railway. These parts will need to clear customs in Chicago yet and be unloaded. It is expected that we will be able to pick up the parts from the warehouse within the next 7-10 days. At that time we will unload everything and begin the final machining work on the steel components immediately. Once the parts do arrive we will provide another update as well. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay.
