^Denne artikkelen var nok en del farget av forfatterens politiske ståsted, men likevel interessant. At Comey har blitt presset av andre republikanere til å redde partiet fra det totale nederlag er riktignok mulig og sågar sannsynlig. Vi ser fragmenter av samme adferden her i Norge, der for eksempel Arbeiderpartiet har vært gode på å plassere styreledere og styremedlemmer med «riktig» partibok i statseide selskaper. Disse styremedlemmene har i perioder prøvd å tatt større kontroll over selskapene enn hva de strengt tatt har mandat til å gjøre – og det er grunn til å mistenke press fra ledende politikere for å implementere deres politikk via disse kanalene.

Last night I was comparing campaign coverage on CNN and FOX News. It was like seeing two different realities.

On FOX, the big news is that the FBI is not only investigating the Weiner laptop emails, but separately the FBI has a major investigation about the Clinton Foundation. I watched Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani – who knows a thing or two about prosecutions – explain the money-laundering-bribery crimes the Clinton Foundation has allegedly committed. In other words, if you only watch FOX News, you might believe Clinton is the head of a crime organization that just got caught, and therefore she has no chance of winning the presidency.

Now switch to CNN.

CNN is temporarily a comedy network because it is hilarious to watch them avoid mentioning Clinton while pretending to cover a race that allegedly involves two candidates. They talked about process. They talked about Republican voter suppression. They talked about Trump. But they don’t say much about about Clinton. On CNN, what matters most is putting the messengers on trial. CNN pundits accuse the Russians of stealing DNC emails to influence the election. They accuse the Director of the FBI of announcing stuff he shouldn’t announce. On CNN, Clinton has a solid lead in the electoral college and she is likely to be our next president.

So choose your reality. If you like the reality where Trump wins, you can watch it happening live on FOX News. He’s crushing it over there. But if you hope for a Clinton win, watch CNN and see your dreams come true. She’s doing great on that network. On November 8th, one of those realities will fall away.

Det store spørsmålet for mange er hvem som vil seire 8. november. Rasjonaliteten som regjerer samtiden tilsier at Trump vil tape. Han har definisjonsmakten mot seg og størstedelen av media- og underholdningseliten mot seg. Men dess hardere nettopp denne kompakte blokken bygger muren mot de vanlige, de usette og uhørte, dess krassere og mer uforsonlig blir reaksjonen.

Her kan man trekke klare paralleller mot Brexit og stemmene til de vanlige, de usette og uhørte som gjorde at hele verden ble tatt på senga når resultatet ble endelig.

Russia has a distinct advantage in Natural Gas due to geography. Oil is cheap and easy to transport by ship, Natural Gas is not. Russian Natural Gas is therefore cheaper in Europe. Russia has dozens of pipelines to carry gas in to Europe. Qatar and Saudi Arabia must ship it. In order for Saudi Arabia and Qatar to fully compete, they need a pipeline in to Europe. All that stands in the way is Assad.

At norske media kaster seg på og er villige mikrofonsativer for søppla er utrolig trist! Saklige politiske analyser og mindre sensasjonsjournalistikk ville ha vært en befrielse!

OK skal medgi at det ikke er så lett å finne de dype politiske tanker hos Trump, men at det går an å dekke denne parodien av en valgkamp bedre enn det som er gjort må være hevet over all tvil.
Jeg frykter stortingsvalget som kommer opp her hjemme i nær framtid! Blir det like usakelig vil jeg ønske at vi får et militærkupp og en sterk mann på toppen som ikke ser verdien av frie valg!

Presidenten har mye makt og man er opptatt av verdiene til personen etc. Derfor er det mer fokus på person i USA enn i det norske demokratiet der makten er mer fordelt. Anbefaler å se hans dekning av valget på NRK2. Jeg deler ikke hans politiske syn men synes han er flink på valganalyse.

Den gjennomsnittlige stemmeberettigede amerikaner skal du få billig av meg. Det har blitt hevdet at i et opplyst folk ville et parti som det republikanske kunne få rundt fem prosent sv stemmene. De kunne stillt med enhver idiot og fått minst 1/3 av stemmene. Dette er teater, show og ideologi. Politikk er helt irrelevant.

Det USA som et erkerepublikansk et steder man som utenforstående aldri besøker. Det er ikke tilfeldig.

Det republikanske parti er et parti for big biusiness og en minst mulig stat, i bytte får velgerene en diffus fortelling om verdier, frihet, våpen og en drøm. Ytelsen koster mao ingen ting å tilby. Må være en av de beste dealene siden avlatet: vi får alt jordisk gods du eier, du får frelse
